Colleen joins the staff of Wild River Wellness with a background in land conservation and Plant Spirit Medicine. She is a proud native of the beautiful NC mountains and loves calling North Carolina home. After receiving her undergraduate Biological Sciences degree from UNC Chapel Hill she moved to Charlotte and has lived here for the last 20 years. Colleen believes whole-heartedly in the healing power of plants to help bring balance and well-being into a person's life. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, traveling and spending time with her husband and friends around the fire.
Jessica
Administrative Assistant & Receptionist
Jessica is an invaluable part of the Wild River Wellness team, working as an administrative assistant in the holistic health field since 2016 and with Dr. Mottola since 2017. When you call the office, it's Jessica that you are speaking to. Having her own personal health struggles, and after years of consults with conventional doctors and not getting anywhere, it was a Naturopathic Doctor that helped her find her way back to better health. By cutting out foods that were harmful to her system, she felt stronger, healthier, and is now living a more productive and higher quality of life. She feels like a more complete person, and is able to do more things that help her feel vibrant and alive. Some of her favorite hobbies include taking nature photos, writing (articles, poems, and hopefully soon, a book), and reading. She is also a huge fan of fairies, and collects anything and everything that has to do with them (and enchanted forests, mermaids and unicorns). It must be all things mystical.
Jessica thoroughly enjoys working as a part of Dr. Mottola's team. Some of the best parts of her job include hearing positive testimonials and talking with people seeking care because of referrals from happy clients.
